Airborne Remote Sensing is a powerful tool for the oil and gas industry. Digital elevation models generated from LiDAR is frequently utilized as an input to the hydrologic engineering that is necessary for fracking and is also an important tool for identifying geomorphologic structures that are indicators of deposits.
