Atlantic, a Huntsville-based company specializing in remote sensing, surveying and consulting services, has hired Jochen Floesser as Senior Vice President.

In his new role as Senior Vice President, Floesser has direct oversight of Atlantic’s Production and Project Management teams. He will also serve as a member of the Executive Management Team along with the company’s CEO, Steve Denney, and President/COO, Brian Mayfield. Floesser will contribute to the development and implementation of organizational strategies, policies and practices.

“This new position was designed specifically to leverage the strengths and passions of Jochen,” said Mayfield, President and CEO. “His leadership and expertise will help ensure organizational effectiveness and achieve higher client satisfaction.”

Jochen has over 16 years of experience in the geospatial industry and holds a number of professional certifications including: GISCI Certified GIS Professional (GISP), PMI Project Management Professional (PMP), Texas licensed Professional Geoscientist, Alabama and Georgia licensed Professional Geologist (PG). Floesser graduated from both Auburn University and Universität Mannheim, Germany with Master’s of Science degrees in Geography and Geology. Floesser joined Atlantic from Magnolia River where he served as a Program Manager.
